It's a well known fact that 24 is a great show, to watch it is to love it. It is basically the only show I consistently watch besides the Office, and the only one I don't channel surf during commercials, and boring points. I died a little bit inside watching the previews for the new Fast and the Furious, I'm sure that I'd rather receive acupuncture from Muhammed Ali than watch that cruel joke.
This was followed by another Nicholas Cage movie, Nicholas Cage is the worst thing to movies ever. He's been in some decent films (the Rock, Con Air), I'm not denying that, but he carries a movie about as well as a drunken karaoke singer pulls off "Don't Stop Believing". He just sucks at everything he touches. Seeing him get cast for Ghost Rider, a movie that could have been super badass, like Blade, only better special effects, made me immediately promise myself to never see that film. Eva Mendes is in, but it's PG-13, leaving absolutely no doubt in my mind that watching Ghost Rider would be an hour and some change that I'd always regret.
How does he still get work? This was finally culminated by watching a trailer for the Transporter 3. If I watched all three of those movies back to back to back handcuffed to a movie seat with toothpicks in my eyes forcing me to watch, I'd pull a Hilary Swank in Million-Dollar Baby and swallow my tongue, that's a fucking promise. How bad are movies that are being made right now? The Watchman, which I haven't heard GREAT things about is seriously the movie savior right now.
without football, it's looking like a dark couple of weeks ahead. I don't even hate hockey, but I wouldn't watch regular season hockey on a Sunday. Baseball is eventually going to be acceptable, but I need to watch at least 2 games at once, and it's rough finding 2 decent games at any given time. Somebody please share their football hangover cures for me, I need help for my Sundays.
